Charts and Analysis 30 Aug 2012: Its a dull market but…

It has been a dull market. But shrewd bears never short a dull market. Bears run on sentiment and fear. Dull market provide none of that. We have been trading less this week allowing us time to launch the trade copier for Capital3x signals. The copier will be launched by Intermarketsignal.com. The due dat will be this week unless delays cause it to early next week.

The copier will be available only for Capital3x subscribers and therefore make sure you are registered with us as a subscriber: Membership.

The single biggest level on the upside for USDCAD to initiate a buy will be .9946 abd a close above. We have seen the previous Netline at .9940 tested and failed which led to another 100 pip fall for USDCAD. But Vortex has been losing strength as speed vains but that is not a reason to be excited as yet.


Oil has been weakening although the fall looks more like a bull flag. It has broken a Netline sell at 96
which has allowed furhter falls to 95.17 which is also the 20 DMA. A fall below the 25 DMA will be quite bearish for Oil and hence could signal another signal for short term weakness.


Dollar index is below the 100 DMA and now forming an inside day at the 200 DMA. This could be a significant one asa downside closure below todays low will mean further falls where as a closure above todays high will mean dollar to wrest control from EURO and CAD as the strongest currency.

Summary: Its a dull market. Very little volumes. And price action justifies to stay aside and let the market signal you the next trend. You will not miss it. This market is meant to suck in traders with tight stops and run them amok. It will drive you mad and so not a time to trade heavily.

There are times to be quiet and sober and then there are times to be excited and trade heavily. Right now is the time to chill and set your house in order and prepare for the storm. The intensity of the storm is uncertain but it could pick up winds as we it hits land.
